Trinity Lutheran School
The word of the Lord endures forever. - 1 Peter 1:25About
The mission of Trinity Lutheran School is to assist families of our congregation and our community by providing a high quality, Christ-centered education to equip students for life and eternity.
We offer full-time Christian education for pre-K through 8th grade in a multi-grade setting.
We provide opportunities for children to excel in all areas: academic, music, athletics, technology.
We currently have about 50 students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, as well as 24 preschoolers (ages 3-4 years), with an aftercare program available for our preK until 3:00pm.
We are a member of a nationally recognized family of Christian Education that serves its students with teachers who are qualified, dedicated, caring, and certified by the 5th largest private/parochial school system in the United States–Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).
As of the 2018-2019 school year, we have been members of the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP), a program for free tuition for families who qualify. Please contact us for more details.
Multi-Grade Classrooms
Trinity Lutheran School utilizes the multi-grade classroom model for our small classroom environment. But how does a multi-grade classroom work? Why should I send my kids to such a school? What are the benefits of a multi-grade classroom?

Josh Danell, Principal
5-8th Grade Teacher
I graduated from Martin Luther College (MLC) in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. As a graduate I was assigned to MLC as an Admissions Counselor where I served for two years. There, I traveled to nine WELS high schools, encouraging students to consider MLC to become pastors, teachers, and staff ministers. After two years I was reassigned with my wife, Kelly, to teach 4th-8th grade at Grace Lutheran School in Geneva, NE. We both taught in Geneva for four years until we accepted our Calls to teach here at TLS here in Marinette.
Beth Kamps
5-8th Grade Teacher
I was born and raised in Marinette. After attending UWC-Marinette and UW-Stevens Point, I graduated in December 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a middle school emphasis, and math minor. I taught math at Waupaca High School and then science, reading, and English at Weyauwega-Fremont Middle School before moving to a dairy farm south of Coleman. While David farmed, I raised our six children, subbed for all area schools, and worked as a caregiver and community supervisor for people with developmental disabilities. David and I served on both the Wisconsin and National Young Farmer and Rancher Committees. I have been employed as a caregiver at The Renaissance in Marinette since 2016. I accepted a one-year emergency call for the upper grades here at TLS in 2017 and am happily back this year to teach upper-grade reading, spelling, and language arts. I enjoy caregiving every other weekend, playing pinochle with family, shooting pool, playing percussion and volleyball, working logic puzzles, and more.

Liz Broring
2nd-4th Grade Teacher
I graduated from Martin Luther College in December of 2018 with degrees in elementary education and Spanish. Before graduating, I had the opportunity to teach Spanish at Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, MI for one school year. Immediately after graduating, I was assigned to teach grades 5-7 here at Trinity in Marinette through the end of the year. I am so excited to continue teaching here at Trinity in the 2-4 grade classroom!

I graduated from Martin Luther College with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. I earned my Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin River Falls in December 2012. This will be my 17th year teaching. I taught 2nd grade for four years at Peace Lutheran School in Hartford, Wisconsin. Then I married my wonderful husband and moved to Marinette. After moving, I taught in the Pre-Kindergarten Program in the Peshtigo School District, kindergarten in the Menominee School district for 9 years, & grades 2-4 here at Trinity Lutheran School.
