ABOUT

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

Our Mission

The continuing purpose of this congregation, as a gathering of Christians, is to spread to all people in God’s world the glory of the cross of Christ, by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ on the basis of the Holy Scriptures (1 Peter 2:24Matthew 28:18-20Mark 16:15).

We Are a WELS Church

We are a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. WELS is a group of more than 360,000 men, women, and children in nearly 1,300 congregations across the United States and Canada united by a common faith in Christ’s saving love. We are committed to a common calling—encouraging each other in our faith and sharing God’s gift of a Savior with the rest of the world.

Our Core Values

We are a Christ-Centered Church

This world can be a difficult place to live. That’s why we need someone who is always going to be there for us, someone who can assure us that everything’s going to be ok. Only Jesus Christ provides real and relevant comfort for our lives here, and he does it by assuring us of the life in eternity which he won for us by his own life and death. When we focus on him and what he’s done for us, this world can never get the better of us.

WE ARE A HOLISTIC CHURCH

Christ and his work don’t apply only to a part of a person, but to the whole person. In the same way, our congregation seeks to serve the whole person. That means serving people from birth to death, in all walks of life, in whatever situations they find themselves in. It means getting to know all sides of a person so that God’s Word can be applied to heal and restore.

WE ARE A DISCIPLING CHURCH

“Disciple” means “student.” Since the spiritual blessings God gives us are all connected with his words in the Bible, we place a big emphasis on learning the Bible. We grow in faith (and thus in our ability to live in grace and share his glory) by being in the Word. We are always striving to learn more ourselves and teach others the truths of God’s Word.

WE ARE A RELATIONAL CHURCH

Our church seeks to know, understand and serve people. We’re a family that looks out for each other. We understand that none of us is perfect, and we work to encourage one another in love as we grow into the people God wants us to be.

WE ARE A FAMILY-FOCUSED CHURCH

There are so many activities pulling families apart in our world. Church shouldn’t be one of them. We seek to promote the spiritual growth of the family as a whole by providing learning and service opportunities that the whole family can take part in.

WE ARE AN ADAPTIVE CHURCH

Some things can never be improved, like God and his Word. However, our methods of presentation can certainly be improved. We seek to adapt to changes around us and make use of the latest modes of communication and technology in order to make the wonderful message of God’s Word accessible to as many people as possible.

Our Beliefs

We believe that the gospel of Christ is the hope of the world, and it's the heart of the church to bring that hope to others. This belief is the foundation of our church and informs all we preach, teach, and practice.
