A Day in the Son
I remember my first day on a Florida beach. I was having a great time in the sun, but I had no idea what was happening to me. After a few hours, I walked off the beach ignorant, happy, and completely unaware that I was burned to a crisp. That realization would manifest in due time with intense pain, lots of aloe, and skin that would turn bright red and peel off.
I had no idea what the sun had been doing to me—I never felt it—until it was too late. I remember wishing I had had some sun block.
Sin is doing the same thing to the whole human race. People seek it out, bask in it, and have no idea what it is doing to them until it’s too late.
Jesus is coming back with fire and judgment.
People need something that will protect them from the wrath of the Son. Paradoxically, the only thing that can protect people from the wrath of the Son is the Son himself. He removes the sin that is killing us and brings us healing instead.
2000 years ago, he sent John the Baptist to prepare people for Jesus. Today he sends us.

Dear Trinity Family,
Pastor has received a divine call to serve as pastor for two congregations in Michigan (St. John Lutheran in Clare & Faith Lutheran in Harrison). That means that he is now holding 2 divine calls: one to serve as pastor here in Marinette and one to serve in Clare & Harrison. Please pray that the Lord would grant Pastor and Barb guidance and wisdom as they deliberate both of these calls. Your words of wisdom and encouragement are always appreciated. Pastor will make his decision over the next few weeks.
Christmas for Kids: After getting impute from members of the congregation, we have decided that we will not be holding a Christmas for Kids this year. We hope to be able to start planning Easter for Kids early next year.
Mid-Week Advent Services: We will not be holding Mid-Week Advent Worship Services this year.
December’s Lunch Bunch: will be a delightful “Dinner Bunch” at, The Rivers Edge on Tonight starting at 5:30 pm (the Supper Club is located at: N4178 WI-180, Marinette) everyone is welcomed as we celebrate the birth of our savior! *We will be having a $15 white elephant gift to exchange.
Trinity Staff Christmas Offering – After our worship services for the next two weeks (December 13th/14th & 20th/21st), we will have a special door offering to show our appreciation for our Trinity staff. This offering is not intended to discourage you from expressing your personal thanks. This collection will be distributed equally among all of our Trinity staff. Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement. If you would like, you may show your support in this offering.
