March 24 2020,               What is God Doing?

Since God can do anything, what’s he doing now? There is a temptation to think that God is not helping. There’s a plague here on earth. People are getting sick and more people are still in danger. So, what is God doing?

Isaiah 43:1–3 (EHV)

43 But now this is what the LORD says,

the LORD who created you, O Jacob,

the LORD who formed you, O Israel.

Do not be afraid, because I have redeemed you.

I have called you by name. You are mine.

2 When you cross through the waters, I will be with you.

When you cross the rivers, they will not sweep you away.

When you walk through fire, you will not be burned,

and the flame will not set you on fire.

3 Because I am the LORD your God,

the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

He’s coming into the plague with us. He’s telling us not to be afraid because he is right here.

God is like that. He was with Joseph when he was in prison. He went into the fiery furnace with Shadrack, Meshach, and Abednego. He even knocked down the gates of hell because we were trapped in there.

He is doing that because he is our Savior. He is doing that because we are his.

God loves you. He called you by name. He is with you. Do not be afraid.

In God’s care,

Pastor Tesch
