1. Write the Third Commandment on the back of this sheet.
Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
What does this mean?
We should fear and love God that we do not despise preaching and His Word, but regard it as holy, and gladly hear and learn it.
2. When are we guilty of despising God’s Word?

a. When we listen to the word, but don’t believe it or do what it says,

b. When we let anything crowd it out of our lives. (Skipping church, devotion, etc.)

c. When we refuse to hear it.

3. How does God want us to use his word?

a. Passage – Psalm 122:1 – I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”

b. He wants us to share his word.

c. He want us to believe and obey his word.

4. Write the Fourth Commandment on the back of this sheet.
Honor your father and mother, that it may go well with you
and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.
What does this mean?
We should fear and love God that we do not dishonor or anger our parents and others in authority, but honor, serve and obey them, and give them love and respect.
5. Passage – Who are the people God wants us to honor?

Ephesians 6:1 – Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

6. How does God want us to honor his representatives?

He wants us to show them respect at all times.

He wants us to serve and obey them.

7. How does the Fourth Commandment serve as a guideline for us?

God wants us to thank him by obeying his representatives. He wants to train us and teach us so that we can enjoy our lives.
