I Tell You the Truth – Lent 2015

Lent is a 40 day journey down the path of our salvation. It is a path paved with the suffering and death of our Savior. It is a path highlighted by his love and forgiveness. Join us in a life changing journey this Lenten season. We hold special services each year on Wednesdays at 10:30 AM and at 6:00 PM.

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 18. We will hold a special service of Confession, Repentance, and Absolution at both the morning and evening services.

The sermon series this year focuses on some of Jesus’ attention-getting and faith-building “I tell you the truth” statements, a translation of the Greek word amen. It is our prayer that Jesus’ “amens” will lead us to sound our own “amens” in response.

We will also feature the Passion History according to the Wartburg Project. The Wartburg Project was produced by a group of Lutheran pastors and professors who are working together to produce a new translation of the Bible. We’re excited to present this new translation during our services.

We will feature three different preachers this year: Pastor Jon Tesch from Trinity in Marinette, Pastor Paul Cole from Christ in Menominee, and Pastor Luke Myslik from Zion in Peshtigo. Here is the schedule:
